Come and join us for an evening of music, dancing, and good company at BLAST’s first social dance of the New Year! Strap on your dance shoes and let’s jump and jive into 2010 like your feet have caught fire from all of your hot dance moves!

We still have a few details to finalize, but most social dance classes will start next week. Here’s what we’ve finalized so far:

Beginner Nightclub
(Argentine Tango, Salsa, Hustle, Bachata, Merengue and others)
-Mondays 6pm-7pm
-Parkes Hall, Choir Room
-Starting January 25th, runs through March 8th, 2010
-FREE for BLAST members, $30 for non-members, no audition, prior experience or partner required

Beginner Swing
(East Coast, Lindy Hop, West Coast, Jive, Blues, etc.)
-Mondays 7pm-8pm
-Parkes Hall, Choir Room

Beginner Latin

You’ve seen it, you’ve heard about it…now come be a part of it! The Ballroom, Latin, And Swing Team is holding auditions for our famous SPRING SHOW! This year’s theme is “BLAST from the PAST!” NO experience or partner necessary, just come show us your sweet moves (choreography will be provided)!

Newcomers and returning members are welcome to join us for our winter quarter kickoff on Tuesday, January 12 from 6-8 PM in Parkes Hall 122. We will give a couple of free dance lessons, pass out schedules for upcoming classes and tell you auditions for the spring show. See you then!

Every year we provide dance lessons for hundreds of students and community members. After learning a few tricks, we encourage everyone to dance at our social parties, tryout for our spring show and compete at competitions around the Midwest.

Our goals are:

· To teach people to dance

· To let people show off what they’ve learned

· To have a heck of a lot of fun
